Welcome to the 2nd Analytics & Digital Marketing Summit & Student Competition at the University of Southern Maine

A half-day of analytics & digital marketing event featuring practical, in-demand analytics and digital marketing skills to elevate effective uses of analytics and digital marketing technology to inform the work of analytics and digital marketing.  

While events are free, space is limited.  Please register to hold your place.  

The following are some key dates:
• March 30: Teams finalized
• April 10: Initial one-page report due
• April 23: Final Presentation slides due
• April 27: Final Presentation

Each student team must register for the competition

The theme of ADMSSC2018@USM is 'Analytics in Action, Digital Marketing, and Advertising.'   

The event is for individuals who are passionate about:

Learning about new analytics and digital marketing applications. 
Networking with local analytics and digital marketing professionals. 
Creating a data-driven culture within an organization. 
Building competitive advantages in analytics & digital marketing.

For the analytics track, student teams are given the same business problem, data sets, and access to software to solve a challenging problem using an analytics approach.

For the digital marketing track, student teams will invent, refine and brainstorm digital promotional ideas, develop digital marketing campaigns, run their campaigns and measure their results.

Teams present their solutions to a judging panel at the 2nd Analytics and Digital Marketing Summit and Student Competition in April, with the winners announced at the conference.

A panel of judges consists of industry professionals and academic experts judge oral presentations based on teams’ application of the full analytics process, from problem identification to methodology selection, data usage, method selection, and conclusions.

The list of judges & speakers for DMASSC 2017 includes professionals with a background in analytics, big data, digital marketing, Google Analytics, and Google AdWords.
